MINI has posted the first official images of its Cooper S three-door hatchback. Carscoops believes it is the all-electric version that car spotters had photographed during an earlier ad shoot. The full reveal seems to be coming soon.
The spy shots from before and the official images are obviously of one and the same car. It has smooth outlines, a pronounced relief on the hood and an octagonal fake grille. The lighting is also new all around: the headlights now incorporate round DRLs, while the taillights sport triangular shapes with pixelated British flag inserts.
According to the publication, the new Cooper S will arrive in two forms. The all-electric variant will benefit from new batteries giving it 320–400 km (200–250 miles) of range. The petrol turbo version will allegedly offer a choice between 1.5 and 2.0 liters of displacement, but will look nearly indistinguishable from the EV.
The sales are set to start in May 2024.
