The Japanese automaker has shared a video featuring its new L200/Triton pickup set to debut in Thailand on July 26. The teaser consists from bits of test footage and shows the truck on sand, dirt and snow.
The description states that all the main units have been ‘redone from scratch’ to make the next-gen truck ‘the most capable and functional’ yet. Feedback from Mitsubishi pickup owners was also taken into consideration while designing the body. The result is an exterior, an interior and engines that the company calls ‘brand new’.
Aside from the above, the new L200 will be getting an improved frame and a new diesel engine said to be simultaneously more powerful and less fuel-hungry than its predecessors. Other than that, the powertrain lineup remains to be revealed.
The production is slated for late 2023.
