Old Winnebago campervan gets insane engine upgrade

Let’s be honest: we know nothing about the acceleration dynamics of this ancient van, and doubt that it creators know more, either. This turbocharged Winnebago camper was probably built exclusively as a proof of concept, rather than a vehicle for everyday use.

The car uses the 1970 dodge chassis and originally comes driven by a 7.2-liter V8 Mopar engine. The Fuel Injection Sucks team replaced the latter with a modern 6.0L V8 General Motors turbo.

The tuners didn’t mess much with the transmission and didn’t bother to install a muffler, resulting in a car that causes your ears to plug when it starts.

Watch the video to see (and hear) the rare turbocharged camper van in action.
