Car Tuning

Which Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo upgrade would you go for?

As you probably know, most executive cars sport subtle, understated design. This is why some owners prefer to take their rides to tuning shops for an upgrade or two.

A while ago, two renowned tuners – TechArt and Mansory – have released custom tuning kits for the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo. Let’s have a closer look at those.

The TechArt version of the tuning is called GrandGT. It includes a body kit consisting of extended wheel arches, side skirts, two spoilers and new air intakes. Additionally available are 22-inch Formula IV wheels, carbon tailpipes, a lowered ride height and an engine boost. The latter takes the stock engine with its 550 hp (410 kW) and 768 Nm (566 lbft) of torque to 640 hp (477 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lbft) of torque.

While the TechArt kit is all about sportiness, the one by Mansory gives off more of a luxury vibe. There are larger air intakes, new mirror caps, longer side skirts, a restyled rear apron with a large diffusor, and a roof-mounted spoiler. A set of five-spoke, golden-tinted wheels contributes to the overall impression of opulence and style.

The interior of the custom Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo by Mansory features premium leather trimming with occasional carbon inserts. Overall, the luxurious cabin space looks much more interesting to us than the sporty TechArt version, even though the latter also uses lots of leather and Alcantara.

Mansory also offers an engine boost plan, but it only gives you an additional 35 hp (26 kW) and 40 Nm (30 lbft) of torque.

So, which one would you go for?
