Car Tuning

This Widebody Abarth 595 Turismo once was a Fiat 500

Can you imagine a car which represents a cross between various Italian and Japanese tuning traditions? No? Then have a look at this Widebody Abarth 595 Turismo.

This unique vehicle is a Fiat 500 city car at heart, presumably produced in 2014 or so. It has gone through its first major change at the Italian tuner shop Abarth, where it was essentially turned into an Abarth 595 Turismo. Japanese tuner “Three Hundred” subsequently bought it out for a little more customization. The team ended up developing a whole custom wide body kit for the vehicle, made completely of visual carbon.

The car gained a black radiator grille, side skirt extensions, a large front spoiler with aerodynamic side flaps, and a brand-new hood cover with two central air intakes.

The Japanese tuner also couldn’t resist widening the side panels and fenders by at least 70 mm (2.7”) on each side. It also applied a few moldings to the Abarth 595 rear diffusor to make it look even more sporty and aggressive. The rear wing and the rear spoiler remained unchanged, though.

Aside from the above, the Widebody Abarth 595 Turismo now sports pinstripes, a powerful exhaust system with “burned-out” exhaust tips, a set of white seven-spoke wheels, and a suspension lowering kit (no further details available). On the whole, the end result looks exceptionally sporty and is no longer reminiscent of the somewhat clumsy Fiat 500. The only controversial detail that breaks the impression somewhat is the rear wiper, but let’s not nitpick, shall we?

Three Hundred never mentioned the total cost of the tuning, but we expect it to be a five-digit sum in USD for the aero kit only (which means you still need an Abarth 595 Turismo to begin with).
