Power-packed Audi SQ2 goes on sale in Europe

Audi has launched pre-orders for the all-new SQ2 SUV along with making more details available. Let’s see what the newcomer has to offer.

The main technical feature of the car comes in the form of its two-liter gasoline engine rated at 296 hp (221 kW) and spectacular 400 Nm (295 lbft) of torque. The latter is available at 2,000 RPM and is quite hard to achieve in a conventional gasoline engine design.

The car also sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, which is comparable to the results of most dedicated sports cars.

On the outside, the Audi SQ2 sports pinstripes running along its sides, aggressively styled bumpers, a trademark radiator grille with vertical ribs, a prominent front splitter, a rear diffusor, a roof spoiler and a four-pipe exhaust system.

The SUV also packs the Quattro 4WD feature that enables it to temporarily redirect up to 100% of the torque to the rear axle.
