Lexus teases luxury-laden LC Convertible Concept

Japanese luxury car manufacturer Lexus will come to the Detroit Motor Show with a convertible concept based on its LC model. It remains unknown whether the car will ever make it into production.

In purely visual terms, the car looks identical to its coupe counterpart except for the open top and a differently styled rear. Its interior houses seats draped in white leather with yellow stitching and features a front fascia with occasional black accents.

The company says nothing about the engine availability at this moment. The Lexus LC Coupe normally ships with a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine good for 477 hp (356 kW). There is also a hybrid car with a total of 355 hp (265 kW) at its disposal.

Lexus will also use the Detroit show as an opportunity to showcase its RC F Track Edition racecar. The vehicle gets an all-carbon hood, roof, and rear wing. Rumors say it might end up with a 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine, but this isn’t official yet.
