Audi teases a 775-hp, environment-friendly supercar

Car manufacturer Audi will be releasing a limited series of all-electric supercars based on the PB18 e-tron Concept that debuted in summer last year.

The prototype EV came equipped with three electric motors jointly capable of 680 hp (507 kW) and 830 Nm (612 pound-feet) of torque. However, it had a temporary boost feature that enabled it to switch to 775 hp (578 kW) for a short time. With the boost turned on, the supercar accelerated 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in under two seconds.

It also packed a 95 kWh traction battery reportedly sufficient for 500 km (310 miles) of driving range. The battery supported the Quick Charge feature, meaning it only needed 15 minutes to achieve high charge at an 800V charging station.

According to an unconfirmed source, the Audi PB18 e-tron Limited Edition batch will consist of only 50 units.
