Skoda prepares to roll out a minor update for its Superb flagship

Based on the recently revealed spy photos, Czech car manufacturer Skoda has been busy testing a lightly facelifted version of its Superb luxury sedan.

It looks like the car no longer has the controversial, Octavia-style split headlights. The new headlights have a different shape and are LED-based.

Some details, like the radiator grille rims, the tow hook, the parking sensors and the front bumper, remain hidden under the test mule camouflage. The front fascia of the facelifted car also looks wider than in the pre-facelift version.

The sides of the refreshed Skoda Superb remain stock, but the rear lights appear slightly redesigned, with either a chromed insert or a LED stripe used for sectioning.

The interior of the car also remains unchanged in this new version. However, according to an earlier announcement, Skoda will soon be releasing a plug-in hybrid version of the Superb.
