Facelifted Cadillac XT5 leaks in official photos

Photos featuring the refreshed Cadillac XT5 SUV have recently appeared in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and IT. Based on these, the car hasn’t changed much on the outside. On the other hand, it is now official that it will ship with a new engine option and more available equipment.

The facelifted Cadillac XT5 gets a radiator grille redesigned to look like that of its junior sibling, the XT4. It also sports a larger air intake in the front bumper along with LED headlights.

Buyers in China will be able to opt for a new 2.0-liter turbo V4 engine capable of 241 hp (180 kW), linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The pre-facelift Cadillac XT5 ships with a 2.0-liter engine rated at 250 hp (186 kW) or 269 hp (201 kW), depending on the version. There is also a mild hybrid option that comes with a 9 hp / 7.5 kW strong motor-generator.
