Porsche Cayenne Coupe debuts with specs and pricing

Porsche has finally revealed its four-door Cayenne Coupe at a special event in Stuttgart, Germany. Let us see what is on offer this time.

Compared to the regular Cayenne, the coupe-shaped SUV sports a more slanting roof and a differently styled rear (which is now also 18 mm / 0.7 inches broader). That said, it still inherits most of its units and components from the standard model.

All trims ship with a fixed roof spoiler by default. Whenever the car speeds past 90 km/h (56 mph), an additional wing automatically extends from under the rear window to produce extra downforce. Its extended length is 135 mm (5.3 inches).

In its most basic implementation, the Porsche Cayenne Coupe ships with a sunroof. You may opt for a relatively lightweight sport package, including a carbon roof, custom 22-inch wheels, a performance exhaust system and an interior interspersed with carbon and Alcantara elements.

The rear seating is represented by two standalone seats in base, but if for whatever reason you would prefer the more traditional sofa, you can have it instead at no extra cost. The trunk area amounts to 625 liters (22 cubic feet), but expands to 1,540 l (54.4 cu. ft.) with the rear seats folded.

Initially, the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe is going to be available in two versions: Standard (starts from U.S. $75,300, excluding shipment and taxes) and Turbo ($130,100+). The former packs a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine rated at 340 hp (254 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lbft) of torque. Without any upgrades on, it sprints 0-100 km/h in six seconds flat; the Sport package improves this result by one-tenth of a second. Its top speed amounts to 243 km/h (151 mph). The Turbo version comes equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine churning out 550 hp (410 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lbft) of torque. It needs 3.9 seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph) and hits its speed ceiling at 286 km/h (178 mph).
