Jaguar Land Rover to use modern medical tech to combat virulent diseases

Future cars issued by Jaguar Land Rover will help their owners resist viruses and contagious diseases by taking advantage of certain state-of-the-art medical technologies, the company announced earlier today.

In particular, all cars will be fitted with a UV-C disinfection system based on ultraviolet radiation.

UV rays are commonly used in medicine to sterilize surfaces, and disinfect water and air. Jaguar Land Rover believes that a UV-C can be built straight into the climate control unit to destroy pathogenic microorganisms before they even reach the interior space of the car. This actually sounds pretty reasonable, given that an average driver spends around 300 hours in their car every year.

Jaguar Land Rover is not the only company concerned about the health of its customers. In 2015, Tesla came out with a climate control unit equipped with a sophisticated air filter reportedly capable of withstanding biological weapon attacks, let alone filtering out all kinds of pollution and bacteria.
