Seat will help you save £1,800 a year while also protecting the environment

A new portable espresso machine, called Handpresso, has appeared in the list of accessories offered by car manufacturer Seat. The company claims the new espresso maker will enable you to save up to 1.5 hours of your precious time, as well as up to £1,800 ($2,360 / €2,100), a year. The option is listed with a £185,000 price tag.

Handpresso easily slides into a front cup holder of your car. It draws its power from a 12V outlet and can produce up to 50 ml (1.7 oz) of coffee per shot. The mini coffee maker ships with 15 espresso capsules, but the company says you may opt for reusable coffee bags instead.

Also included is a special bag with dedicated compartments containing the spoons, coffee, flavors, napkins, and two glass cups. Allegedly, a research has shown that around 2.5 billion disposable plastic cups get thrown away every year in Great Britain alone.

Seat is neither the first nor the only car manufacturer to offer the espresso maker feature to its clients. Back in 2016, Nissan unveiled an e-NV200 MPV converted into a mobile office complete with an espresso machine. That one was real, too, unlike this April 1st joke.
