Skoda Octavia RS gets a boost to 290 hp / 216 kW from ABT Sportsline

ABT Sportsline has launched a range of upgrades for the current-gen Skoda Octavia RS. In its top trim version, the liftback boasts 245 hp (183 kW) along with 380 Nm (280 lbft) of torque. It needs 6.7 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

Once upgraded with the ABT Engine Control chip, it goes up to 290 hp (216 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lbft) of torque, which also reduces its sprint time to around six seconds. Regrettably, we have no specific data available on that.

ABT Sportsline suggests fitting the car with a set of 20-inch ABT GR forged wheels that should be an ideal complement to its sporty character, especially when combined with a lowering kit for 25-30 mm (1 – 1.2”) less ride height. As far as the suspension is concerned, the tuner proposes upgrading sway bars along with the springs.

Similar options are available for other configurations of the Skoda Octavia as well, including the 1.4 TSI, the 1.8 TSI, and the 2.0 TDI.
