Tuned-up Cadillac Escalade takes off faster than Ferrari 488

Is it possible at all to get a spacious and serviceable SUV with a deluxe interior trim and supercar-like performance? Nowadays, yes. In the USA, you have the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. In Europe, you may consider Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Audi offers. But other than that, going to a tuner and asking for a custom job is always an option.

This is what the owner of this Cadillac Escalade did, apparently, and the company responsible for the tuning is none other than the famous Texas-based Hennessey Performance.

This is not the first time Hennessey dealt with the Chevy, and it had even adapted its HPE800 power kit for the model. Once the upgrade was finished, the performance went up to 805 horsepower (600 kilowatts) and 1,100 Newton-meters (812 pound-feet) of torque. The bulky ride then zapped 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a mere 3.7 seconds.

To show what the modified SUV was truly capable of, Hennessey Performance arranged for two drag races between it and a Ferrari 488. Watch the video for the outcome.
