Lexus RC F turns into spaceship for the next MiB movie

Lexus has introduced a transformer vehicle it built for the next instalment in the Men in Black movie saga, Men in Black: International. An RC F coupe at heart, it can turn into an intergalactic spaceship called the QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer.

The company says the ship draws its power from a ‘quasar source’ and can therefore deliver its crew ‘to any part of the universe within seconds’, while also making sure no one gets lost in space. It also reports that the sprint from zero to 60 miles per hour (0-96 km/h) occurs within 0.0000000000001 nanoseconds.

Perhaps to compensate for that kind of relativistic acceleration, the cabin of the QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer houses fully adjustable bucket seats with 31-point safety harnesses. Oh, and by ‘fully adjustable’ we mean an automatic perfect fit for all galactic creatures humanoid and otherwise.

As we mentioned above, the spaceship collapses into a mundane 2019 Lexus RC F coupe. Or, more specifically, the facelift version we saw at the Detroit Motor Show early this year. Packing an updated 5.0-liter V8 engine boosted to deliver 478 hp (356 kW) along with 535 Nm (395 lb×ft) of torque, it concludes the standard sprint in 4.5 seconds.
