DTE pushes the BMW Z4 (G29) sDrive30i to 282 HP

Granted, car tuners tend to prefer working with top-of-the-line models rather than entry-level or middle-ground ones, but exceptions happen nonetheless. For instance, DTE-Systems GmbH just pushed out an upgrade for the “normal” sDrive30i trim of the BMW Z4 (G29).

The roadster comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine spewing out some 258 hp (192 kW) along with 400 Nm (298 pound-feet) of torque. After the DTE PowerControl X chip is installed, the output rises to 282 hp (210 kW) and 466 Nm (344 lb-ft). Furthermore, it enables the driver to use a smartphone to switch between three available drive modes: Dynamic, Sport, and Efficiency.

Aside from this, DTE also suggests improving the throttle response of the BMW Z4 (G29) sDrive30i with the help of an upgrade module called PedalBox+, promising a 10% increase in acceleration performance.

The best news is that you can apply both upgrades yourself in mere minutes.
