1,025-HP Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG runs 0-300 km/h in mere seconds

After watching this video featuring a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG dialed up to 11, we suddenly realized we had seen precious few of these vehicles in a tuned state. As it turns out, the SLS has plenty of tuning potential, and, if we are lucky, we will be seeing more projects like this one soon.

The Stuttgart-born supercar comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 563 horsepower (420 kilowatts). Elmerhaus, which is the name of the company responsible for the tuning, retrofitted it an enormous supercharger to raise the output to a whopping 1,025 hp (764 kW). Any supercar aficionado would dream of this kind of performance, even more so if they own a Mercedes, which can be stubbornly conservative when it comes to powertrains.

Elmerhaus then proceeded to take the coupe to an autobahn, where it sped to 318 km/h (197 mph) in a matter of seconds. Interestingly, the supercharger has remained surprisingly quiet during the entire ride and didn’t even whine like they usually do.

Given the right conditions, this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will certainly have no trouble going past the 200 mph mark.
