2020 Nissan Juke rolls out for a test drive, gets immediately spotted

The second generation of the Nissan Juke, a subcompact SUV especially popular in Europe, has recently been spotted on a public road clad in a thin test mule wrap. Here’s what it looks like.

The 2020 Juke sports new smooth LED headlights and completely different brake lights only marginally similar to those of the facelifted Qashqai series. The sides have also undergone quite a few modifications, and the mirrors now reside slightly lower than before. The rear door handles, however, remained in their traditional place.

The second iteration of the Nissan Juke will utilize the basic architecture and components of the latest Renault Clio, which should translate into more interior space. Customers will be able to choose between two gasoline engines (1.0-liter turbo three-cylinder and a 1.3-liter unit with undisclosed specs) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Higher trims will have access to the optional 4WD system.

Finally, to the joy of Nissan fans, the subcompact car will also get a hybrid variant based on a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery sufficient for 32 kilometers (20 miles) of purely electric driving.
