The Drako GTE is a 1,200-HP battery hypercar

Drako Motors, a budding car manufacturer, intends to build a four-seat all-electric hypercar it calls the GTE, which will reportedly combine superb performance with maximum possible driving safety. Production quantity and prices remain unannounced.

Technical details are scarce, too, but impressive nonetheless. The company claims the vehicle will pack four electric motors capable of 1,200 hp (895 kW) and 8,800 Nm (6,491 pound-feet) of torque. This will enable it to zap 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in around two seconds and only hit its speed ceiling at 332 km/h (206 mph).

Drako Motors claims the GTE will boast class-leading steering performance, especially when turning, and will come equipped with a plethora of electronic driver aids and systems to help cope with that kind of muscle power. It says some of these technologies emerged as a result of extensive driving tests performed on the famed North Loop of the Nürburgring.

Responsible for the design are Lowie Vermeersch, a Flemish car designer, and GranStudio, a company that helped conceptualize the Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta and the Dallara Stradale, as well as the Ferrari California, FF, and 458.
