New 2020 LR Defender leaks yet again ahead of the premiere

Mere hours ago, we told you about the new Lego brick set that did a decent job betraying the appearance of the not-yet-officially revealed 2020 Land Rover Defender. Now, a photo appeared online showing a digital dashboard with a pic of the new Defender displayed in the middle of the instrument cluster. Imagine that!

On the pic, the car has LED headlights, b- and d-pillars painted black, and c-pillars finished to match the main body color. There may be a hatch in the roof, but the poor quality of the photo prevents us from claiming that for sure.

The upcoming Defender generation will make use of the new MLA architecture, just like the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport did before it. The engine range will probably consist of two-liter, four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. As for the suspension, the SUV may end up with the same air suspension system as the latest LR Discovery.

This spring, Land Rover announced that the new Land Rover Defender series reached the final pre-production test stage. Various prototypes have covered over 1,200,000 kilometers (745,600+ miles) during the test period.

The SUV will either debut at the 2019 International Motor show Germany kicking off in Frankfurt in September this year, or be revealed at a closed special event. Sales begin in 2020 in any case.
