Not for Sale: Mercedes-Benz unveils the eVito Tourer MPV

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the eVito Tourer, an all-electric minivan so far only available through the BerlKonig ridesharing service. There are no estimations as to when the model may hit the mass market.

A single electric motor rated at 116 hp (87 kW) and 295 Nm (218 pound-feet) of torque moves the van along, while a 41 kWh battery lets it cover from 156 to 186 kilometers (97 – 115 miles) before a recharge becomes necessary. Charging from zero to full takes at least six hours.

The new Mercedes-Benz eVito Tourer will be available in two variants: Standard (5,140 mm / 16.86 ft.) and Long (5,370 mm / 17.62 ft.). Both can accommodate up to nine passengers.

Mercedes-Benz already has three electric vans on its lineup: Sprinter, Vito, and the eVito Tourer. A production version of the EQV Concept will join the range in the coming fall, offering eight passenger seats and up to 400 kilometers (250 miles) of range.
