2020 Jeep Gladiator gets reimagined as the classical Honcho J-10 truck

The new Jeep Gladiator had barely entered the market, but the tuner team over at Sleepy Hollow Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Inc. has already come out with a version of its own. The vehicle was stylized to resemble the iconic 1978 Jeep J10 Honcho 4×4 (T53).

The primary accent of the project was on the exterior appearance. The Gladiator gained custom white aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFG off-road tires, a massive roll cage, a KC Daylighter lighting rack on the roof, and a spare wheel holder built straight into the truck bed.

This particular example also rides on Fox shocks and Mopar springs that give it an extra 50 mm (2 inches) of ground clearance. Its black body benefits from new dull-golden highlights (vinyl wrap) and ‘Jeep J10 4 Wheels Drive’ logos mimicking the classic. The front air intakes and radiator grille have been treated with a brushed silver look.

Sleepy Hollow Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Inc. decided against recreating the famous Levis Edition leather cabin trim, instead opting for simple Honcho logos here and there. Nothing was said about the cost of the project.

One of the videos here shows the new Jeep Gladiator 2020 Honcho J-10 truck, while the other is dedicated to its source of inspiration from the faraway 1978. Wouldn’t you say they look like brothers?
