Porsche to release a special series of 1,000 vintage-themed 911s

Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, in-house tuner of the German luxury carmaker, has announced a retro-styled special edition of the famous 911. The series will consist of 1,000 cars representing four different ‘eras’, beginning with the 1950s and ending with the 1980s.

The first batch will be themed after the Fifties, and should hit the market in 2020. Each vehicle will have a Cherry Metallic exterior and a Beige cabin, the manufacturer states.

All 1,000 vehicles will be assembled by hand. Any innovative materials and texturizers will be extensively tested for durability and safety before use.

In the future, the four styling kits might end up merged with the Porsche Heritage Design package. The latter is currently only available for the 911 Speedster, but other modifications should be getting it soon. The package includes the exclusive GT Silver Metallic paint, historical Porsche badges, golden logos and inscriptions, and dual-color cabin upholstery.
