New Bugatti hypercar to debut on August 15

Bugatti’s next hypercar, allegedly based on the classical EB110 S, will celebrate its premiere at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, USA. According to rumors, it will be the luxury marque’s most powerful vehicle ever, coming out in a series of just 10 units priced at €8,000,000 each.

Industry observers speculate that it might be based on the Chiron chassis and tech, including the 8.0-liter, quad-turbo W16 unit originally rated at 1,500 horsepower (1,119 kilowatts). That said, the monster engine may gain a significant boost in the limited series.

Rated at 1,672 hp (1,247 kW) and 1,580 Nm (1,165 lb-ft) of torque, the 2016 Vision Gran Turismo Concept depicted here remains Bugatti’s most powerful vehicle to date. Chances are good that the new hypercar surpasses these numbers, though.

One final bit of speculation concerns itself with the personality of Romano Artioli, ex-CEO of the French brand. It was during his time at the head of the company that the legendary EB110 S supercar was designed and built.
