Tuner strips Porsche GT2 RS of its main pride point, the rear wing

However hard Porsche may try, it is unlikely to release anything as unique and fascinating as the GT2 RS anytime soon. The coupe costs nearly €300,000, packs 700 hp / 522 kW under the hood and boasts a gorgeous rear wing that enabled it to finish a Nürburgring run in a mere 6 minutes 40.3 seconds. Except this one doesn’t.

Boden AutoHaus actually dared to unscrew the award-winning wing and put a ducktail-shaped spoiler in its place. To add insult to injury, the team gave the car an offensively pink wrap.

The overall situation is somewhat remedied by the Weissach option kit, which adds stylish black stripes to the hood and upgrades many components to carbon fiber. It also includes an in-car titanium roll cage, but you cannot see whether this particular 911 has one due to the completely blacked-out windows.

Fans of the German sports car classics have been quick to label this work by Boden AutoHaus ‘one ugly pink duckling’ and ‘the most hated GT2 RS in the world’. But the tuner doesn’t seem sorry in the slightest. In fact, you may remember that Floyd Mayweather trusted it with designing a custom titanium exhaust system for its $5M Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. So, maybe it is a matter of acquired taste.
