Brabus unveils another tuning kit for the G-Class
Simultaneously with the Brabus G V12 900 ‘One of Ten’, the famous German tuning shop unveiled another similar package for the latest Mercedes G-Class (W463A).
The main apparent advantage of the 2019 Adventure kit over its more deluxe counterpart is that we cannot imagine many Brabus G V12 900 ‘One of Ten’ owners ever straying from smooth asphalt. The carbon parts include a radiator grille, aprons, fenders, a roof-mounted wind deflector, skid plates (yes, carbon skid plates!), spare wheel cover etc.
There are also a few off-road accessories, such as a winch, a trailer hook, and LED headlights. As far as performance is concerned, Brabus pledges to boost any engine currently on the market. The Frankfurt show car is a diesel-chugging G350d, and its current output reportedly amounts to 330 hp (246 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque. This represents a sizeable improvement over the stock 286 hp (213 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). Brabus says their tuned example sprints 0.2 s faster than its stock counterpart.
Finally, for those interested, Brabus will conduct an extensive interior makeover using premium and luxury trim materials.
The pricing and availability of the new Brabus 2019 Adventure kit for the Mercedes G-Class remain undisclosed.
