Ford’s new Mustang-shaped SUV is faster than the Mustang itself
Ford has released some details about its upcoming electric crossover SUV, whose design was inspired by the iconic Mustang series.
The battery car, which goes by the provisional name of ‘Mach E’, will climb the podium in mid-November 2019. The choice of date hints at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but Ford might as well arrange a dedicated event ahead of the LA trade fair.
Most technical parameters remain a mystery, although it is official that the EV will provide around 500 kilometers (310 miles) of range. On an informal note, it was added that the car would accelerate even faster than the Mustang itself.
The design is another aspect of this car that isn’t quite finalized yet, but observers tend to agree that it will be getting a coupe-like sloped roof, like the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
