Chevrolet offering a glimpse at the open-top C8 Corvette for $57

The Chevrolet Corvette С8 Roadster will premiere at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on October 3, 2019. You will need to buy an entrance ticket for $57 if you would like to enter the historical site and witness the reveal.

According to the company, a top manager of General Motors and a famous astronaut will attend the event, but their identities are being kept secret for now.

Why the Kennedy Space Center? Apparently, because U.S. astronauts love Corvettes. Alan Shepard was the first spacefarer to get behind the steering wheel of a Corvette all the way back in 1961. Since then, the admiration astronauts felt towards the sports car series kept growing, the manufacturer claims.

The Roadster is scheduled to hit the showrooms in 2020.
