This C63 is an especially family-friendly sports car

It just so happens that sports cars are firmly associated with single men or, failing that, couples without children. A boring-yet-practical station wagon is often considered the main father’s choice in Europe. In Germany, they call this type of vehicle ‘Pampersbomber’. Yet you can turn even this kind of car into a work of art, as Mariani Car Styling goes to prove here.

The tuner starts with a Mercedes-AMG C63 S (S205), swapping its dull-looking 19-inch factory wheel set out for new multi-piece forged rims measuring 20 inches across and 10 inches wide. The glossy-black finish on the spokes is not aerosol spray paint, by the way. It is piano lacquer, which arguably looks even more awesome. According to Mariani, wheels any larger than this would have necessitated cutting the wells, so the fit is as tight as it gets in stock C63.

For the other traffic participants to realize conclusively that this is a sports car and not a diaper carrier, Mariani introduces height-adjustable suspension and a valve-based exhaust module for fine-tuning the sound.
