Could Porsche be working on an 820HP Panamera?

The mysterious Panamera test mule is cruising the Nürburgring again. Could it be a particularly powerful, yet still unannounced version?

Car spotters saw a facelifted Panamera in late August, and later photographed an odd prototype at the Nordschleife (note the exhaust tips facing down on the photos). Today’s liftback looks different from both. Our best guess is a brand-new, top-performance Panamera.

Rumors have already sprung up that the range-topping liftback emerges based on the gas-powered Turbo version (not the Turbo S E-Hybrid) and has 820 horsepower (611 kW) at its disposal. That said, we would expect it to get at least some kind of electric add-on.

As for the premiere timeframe, Porsche will likely indtroduce the car simultaneously with the facelift or shortly after. The production run will probably be limited to a few hundred vehicles.
