Coupe-like Audi e-tron caught on camera ahead of premiere

With car spotters discovering a wrap-free test vehicle, the exterior of the new Audi e-tron Sportback is no longer a mystery.

That said, big surprises just aren’t there. With the obvious exception of the roof, the e-tron Sportback look identical to the standard e-tron.

The side windows and the headlights still wear some camo, but the outlines are distinct enough to see that they are also the same old stuff.

The e-tron Sportback will most likely borrow its entire tech from the standard e-SUV, too. Among other things, this means the 95-kWh battery WLTP-rated for 400 kilometers (250 miles) of range and two asynchronous electric motors jointly capable of 360 hp (268 kW). Thanks to the Overboost feature, drivers can boost the output to 408 hp (304 kW) for short periods of time. When boosted, the SUV accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.9 seconds.

The official premiere will occur at the Los-Angeles Auto Show opening on November 19, 2019. Sales in Europe will begin soon after the show.
