CarWOW has four ultra-powerful SUVs sort it out on a drag strip

The CarWOW team has posted a new and exciting video on YouTube showing four performance SUVs smoking tires on a drag strip. The contenders are: Mercedes-AMG G 63 Mk.2, Bowler Bulldog (Defender-based rally car), Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and BMW X4 M Competition.

Beginning with the most interesting specimen, the Bowler Bulldog comes based on an all-new aluminum chassis and weighs 1,800 kilograms (just under 4,000 pounds). It resembles the Defender 110 on the outside and comes powered by a five-liter supercharged V8 that delivers 550 hp (406 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) occurs in four seconds flat.

In turn, the BMW X4 M Competition packs a turbo six-cylinder unit boosted to 510 hp (380 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It weighs 100 kilograms (220 pounds) more than the Bowler, though, and so hits 100 km/h (62 mph) 0.1 seconds later.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe packs 550 hp (406 kW) along with an impressive 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. It darts to one hundred in 3.9 seconds, but weighs a whopping 400 kg (880 lbs) more than the BMW.

The G-Class come out the heaviest of the four at 2,500 kg (5,511 lbs). Powering it is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 585 hp (436 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque at the crank. The standard sprint is a matter of 4.5 seconds for the G-Wagen.
