Novelties
Bentley has torn the wraps off the latest iteration of its Flying Spur sedan/saloon, called the Blackline. Most of the novelty boils down to the black gloss paint now covering all chrome parts.
This includes the radiator grille, the fender intakes, the window rims, the handles, the exhaust tips – and even the winged ‘B’ logo is now black.
Customers may choose from 13 body paint options, and 21 and 22-inch wheels.
Powering the series is the same old 6.0 V12 rated at 635 hp (474 kW), linked to an eight-speed DCT transmission.
It is perhaps worth mentioning that Bentley’s archrival – the Rolls-Royce – also offers a similar option package called the Black Badge, and that one packs a performance boost as well.
In the United States, the Flying Spur Blackline costs $4,735 more than the basic car.
