Hyundai readying an ‘innovative SUV hybrid’ for the LA show

Hyundai will participate in the upcoming 2019 Los-Angeles Auto Show with a still-unnamed concept version of a hybrid crossover/SUV.

The short teaser video focuses on certain design traits of the car. The side mirrors and the door handles are missing, the headlights are divided into multiple sections, and the radiator grille consists of numerous cells and sports active valve control. All of the above reminds us of the new Hyundai Grandeur, minus the charging port.

The production prospects of this new concept remain unclear. Perhaps it is a pure design study, meant to showcase Hyundai’s latest design philosophy known as Sensuous Sportiness. Then again, maybe it is the forebear of the next-gen Hyundai Tucson. We will know soon enough, so stay tuned.
