Porsche spied testing a mysterious beefed-up Cayenne

The car caught on camera had Turbo S E-Hybrid sides and front fascia, but a Cayenne rear and exhaust system. Overall, it looks as if the manufacturer had been testing a performance version of the Cayenne.

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, which you can see in the video here, has dual tailpipes culminating in either circular or trapezoid tips. At a first glance, you’d think the example depicted on the photos had the tips of the entry-level Cayenne, which is rated at 340 hp (254 kW). However, a closer look reveals two other, somewhat concealed exhaust pipes closer to the rear middle. These look more like what the 911 GTS ships with.

Rumors are already circulating that Porsche is getting ready to reveal a Cayenne packing north of 800 horsepower (600 kilowatts). If proven true, the new SUV will have everything necessary to beat the Lamborghini Urus in a straight line.
