Last Corvette C7 rolls off the line, sells for $2.7M

The last 7th-gen Corvette has just left the factory in the United States, marking the end of the front-engine sports car line (the C8 has a mid-engine layout).

The car has received the honor to enter the history is a Z06, powered by a 6.2-liter V8 TT mill rated at 650 hp (485 kW) and 881 Nm (653 lb-ft) of torque. Paired with a seven-speed manual transmission, this engine takes the coupe from zero to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in a breezy 3.2 seconds.

The car has been pre-sold at an auction, fetching a tidy sum of $2.7 million USD. Chevrolet will be redirecting the entire amount to the Stephan Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation. The official sales period of the C7 Corvette ended on June 23, 2019.

The new generation ships in two body styles – Targa and Roadster – and starts from 502 hp (374 kW). Prices in the United States begin from $60,000.
