2021 Audi Q5 facelift spotted again

The second generation of the Audi Q5 debuted at the Paris International Motor Show in France three years ago, so the time is probably high for a mid-generational refresh. This is exactly what car spotters have discovered on a snowed-under test track.

The SUV wears a thick layer of camo wrap that does an efficient job concealing all of its lighting, both bumpers, the fenders and the side sills. It looks like the radiator grille and the headlights are new already. As for the cabin, we’d expect Audi to enlarge the infotainment display from 8.3 to 10.1 inches and redesign the MMI software for a better user experience. Any drivetrain modifications are unlikely.

The refreshed Q5 will likely be shown to the wide public next year, but won’t reach the market until 2021. Once out, it will mainly have to compete against the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo XC60.
