Jaguar says farewell to the current-gen XJ with a special edition
The XJ Collection celebrates the production end of Jaguar’s flagship sedan/saloon. Whether to expect a replacement, and what kind of, remains unknown.
The limited series boasts an elongated wheelbase and packs a five-liter supercharged V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The unit sends up to 477 hp (356 kW) and 575 Nm (424 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels, taking the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in around five seconds.
The Jaguar XJ Collection also comes in a number of color combinations not available in any other edition. It you order it in black or white, you will be able to choose between black and ivory interior. If you would rather prefer green, the interior will be black and brown. Regardless of your choice, the dashboard will come adorned with a commemorative chassis number plaque testifying to the exclusivity of the series.
The equipment list includes a 10-inch infotainment display, Meridian speakers, and numerous electronic assists.
The Jaguar XJ Collection will consist of 300 cars and come out in North America priced from U.S. $85,000.
