This Mercedes-Benz E190 2.5-16V Evo II packs 1,000 HP

Here’s an exciting project titled ‘Evil Evo’ by U.S. tuner F7lthy. The styling makes the car look like the legendary 2.5-16V Evo II, but the much more affordable W201 sedan/saloon lies underneath the disguise.

The original Mercedes-Benz E190 2.5-16V Evo II series consisted of 502 units that currently sell close to €300,000, so there is little wonder why F7lthy chose it as the source of inspiration.

The team has designed an all-new wide body kit for the project, which included the enormous front splitter, black radiator grille, new headlights, fenders, side sills, and many other components. A downright massive diffuser dominates the rear end.

The most interesting part lies under the hood, though. F7lthy ditches the stock 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with its 370 hp (276 kW) in favor of a crate engine (Texas Speed LS3 BiTurbo). The manufacturer claims the unit can produce up to 1,600 horsepower (1,193 kilowatts), but F7lthy clamps the performance at 1,000 hp (745 hp) to keep things safe. Naturally, the exhaust system is all-new, as are the brakes and countless other performance-sensitive components.

Rounding off the list of changes is a completely new cabin trim that uses high-quality red leather and black carbon fiber garnishes.
