Opel Insignia 2020 debuts with slightly fresher looks, more equipment and engines

Opel has been working on the facelift version of its Insignia flagship family hauler over the past two years. The main details and photos are already here, and the premiere will occur at the 2020 Brussels Motor Show in Belgium on January 10 through 19.

Overall, the car holds onto its recognizable exterior design while boasting a more modern-looking front. The radiator grille and headlights have been reshaped, a large air intake appeared in the lower apron, and the anti-fog lights with vertical slits next to them are also new. Moving to the rear, the bumper has changed ever so slightly, and the exhaust tips are now dual.

No interior photos are available so far, but the carmaker assures us the cabin will look ‘fresh and up-to-date’. Highlights will include a high-end infotainment system with wireless charging capacity, a rear view camera, a blind zone monitor, new seats, and hands-free trunk opening (Sports Tourer only).

The 2020 Opel Insignia will also ship with a few brand-new gasoline and diesel engines, but their parameters and performance specs remain to be disclosed.
