Audi Q2 slated for update in 2020

The Audi Q2 compact SUV came out three years ago, so seeing the spy photos of its facelift version is not unexpected.

The photographer spotted the prototype on a snowy road in Sweden. Interestingly, while the taillights on the images are obviously old, the headlights appear new, despite not being covered with camo wrap. The interior is hard to see, but we would expect at least an updated infotainment system.

The current-gen Q2 ships with a whole range of gasoline and diesel engines rated between 116 hp (86 kW) and 300 hp (224 kW). An all-electric LWB version is available in China under the name ‘Q2 L e-tron’. The facelift might bring this EV to other markets as well. The old two-liter diesel with 190 hp (142 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque might also make a comeback after its discontinuation last year, and a hybrid variant cannot be excluded, either. That said, blind conjecture doesn’t make too much sense this early on, so let us wait for the official reveal.
