Audi launches RS5, RS5 Sportback facelift

Following the launch of the updated A5 range three months ago, Audi has unveiled the facelifted RS5 and RS5 Sportback. These two are likely the last cars in the Audi RS performance range to get any updates this year.

The scope of novelty is roughly the same as in the A5 range, and ancompasses the bumpers, the side sills, the rear diffuser and the (now larger) radiator grille. Two new paint options are available called Tango Red and Turbo Blue, and the 20-inch wheels are available in a number of new finishes. Paid options often involve carbon fiber, ranging from carbon-ceramic brake discs to the body kit and roof. The LED Matrix headlights are also new.

Inside, the infotainment system has been updated and sports a 10.1-inch display by default. The dashboard design is traditional, but you can pay extra for a 12.3-inch digital cockpit.

The 2020 RS5 & RS5 Sportback range still ships with the old 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine rated at 450 hp (336 kW) and 600 Nm (447 lb-ft) of torque. Accelerating 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) takes 3.9 seconds, and the top speed sits at 280 km/h (174 mph).

Prices in Germany begin from €83,500.
