2020 Opel Insignia facelift debuts in Brussels

Opel has used the Brussels Motor Show as an opportunity to reveal its facelifted Insignia series, both in its ‘civilian’ and track-friendly GSi versions.

The main update concerns the automatic transmission, which now has nine speeds instead of eight. That said, the new transmission is only available in the 2.0T version of the car. The engine, which delivers 200 hp (150 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, features partial cylinder deactivation for better fuel economy (up to 18%) and lower CO2 footprint.

For its part, the 2020 Opel Insignia GSi boasts new IntelliLux LED Pixel Light headlights composed of 168 individual diodes, an electrohydraulic power brake system, and active blinds built into the radiator grille for added aerodynamics.

Among other things, buyers of the facelifted model may opt for a reversing camera and choose from several infotainment options.
