Lexus LC 500 ‘Inspiration 1 of 1’ scheduled for sale on January 17
Lexus revealed its LC 500 Convertible at the 2019 LA Auto Show in November and won’t launch sales in the USA until summer, but the first production copy is already here and underway to an auction scheduled for January 17, 2020.
The unique car is called ‘LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1’, as is evidenced by its doorsill plates made of carbon fiber. Aside from these, it boasts a vivid-blue paintjob, huge 21-inch rims, semi-aniline white leather trim, and a VIN number ending in ‘100001’.
The offer includes a framed early design sketch of the car, photos from different production stages, a certificate undersigned by certain key employees of the Lexus factory in Motomachi, Japan, and more.
The auction holder will redirect the profits to charity organizations supporting children and war veterans.
The Lexus LC 500 Convertible comes powered by a five-liter V8 engine good for 477 hp (356 kW) and 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque, which works in conjunction with a ten-speed automatic gearbox. Its soft top consists of four layers of fabric and takes 15 seconds to fold down.
