Rumor: Kia Telluride off-road and luxury editions underway to launch

The Telluride – Kia’s largest SUV to date – came out approximately a year ago, so it would be logical to anticipate a new version coming soon. An anonymous source claims that not one, but two Telluride special editions are in the works.

The first one cranks up the luxury and allegedly comes with a broader set of standard and available equipment, as well as a dual-tone paintjob. The specific list is not available, but it should be impressive, given that even the standard Telluride packs Nappa leather trim, heated second-row seats, HUD, and plenty of driver aids into the base package.

The other one focuses on off-road use and reportedly comes with enhanced bottom guard plating and different tires. When Kia showed us a pre-production copy of the Telluride in the fall of 2018, the car was styled like a hardcore off-roader complete with a winch, a snorkel pipe, an expedition rack, a spare wheel and other such options.

There has been no comment on behalf of Kia on any of this.
