A student team from Eindhoven, Netherlands, is getting ready to reveal their project – an electric car concept built from recycled domestic waste collected in oceanic waters.
The chassis is made of aluminum and polymer materials, the body uses recycled plastics, and certain elements are derived from flax fiber.
The small urban vehicle comes driven by dual motorized wheels joining their efforts for 20 horsepower (15 kilowatts). The range remains unannounced, but the students say the traction battery consists of six compact cells.
The project is scheduled for completion in six months, and the pictures you see here are 3D renderings.
