Concept Cars
On March 3, 2020, the Korean carmaker will be unveiling its latest design study, which is aptly named ‘Prophecy’. Like the Hyundai 45 Concept of the last year, the new car will give us a glimpse at what to expect next from the marque.
The Prophecy is said to be ‘taking the Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy to a whole next level’. According to Designer SangYup Lee, the concept strives to emphasize the ‘timeless beauty’, rather than trying to abide by fashion trends. The company praises its curves, superb aerodynamics, integrated rear wing, and ‘pixelized’ look of the brake lights.
Chances are decent that the Hyundai Prophecy is a source of inspiration for the upcoming Genesis Mint and comes based upon similar tech. Aside from it, the company will be presenting its lineup electrification strategy at the Geneva show. Since Hyundai’s first EV platform will only emerge next year based on a design by startup firm Canoo, it is probably too early to talk mass production at this point.
