Battery-powered Renault Twingo Z.E. debuts on official terms

The electric ‘Z.E.’ version of the Renault Twingo comes with the same basic feature set as its gas-powered counterpart. including RWD.

A single electric motor sources its power from a 22-kWh battery and drives the rear axle with 82 hp (61 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft). The range amounts to 250 km (155 miles) in the WLTP Urban driving cycle.

Getting from zero to 50 km/h (31 mph) takes four seconds, and the electronic speed cap lies at 135 km/h (84 mph). Full charging takes long 13.5 hours, but you can plug to a high-power charging station to reduce the waiting time to 4 hours.

In terms of design, the Renault Twingo Z.E. is practically identical to its gas-driven sibling. The side stickers, the badges and the blue radiator grille accents are its only distinguishing traits outside; inside, the dashboard has been slightly retouched, but that’s it.
