Pininfarina announces a special Battista for Geneva reveal

Automobili Pininfarina showed us its 1,900-horsepower Battista EV at the GIMS 2019 (see the pics and watch the video if you need a reminder). The hypercar hasn’t even come out yet, but it has already received a Special Edition.

The 90th Anniversary Edition celebrates the birthday of the Pininfarina SpA design studio and will be present for everyone at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2020 to look at. No specifics are provided, but the limited status of the series will likely make it even more expensive than the standard Battista with its €2,000,000 price tag.

The launch of the Battista EV will mark Pininfarina’s turning from coachbuilder into full-fledged automobile maker. CEO Michael Perschke promises to follow up with a whole range of electric cars, including a sedan/saloon and an SUV both priced between €200,000 and €400,000. The battery size will amount to 100 or 125 kWh, and the range should come close to the 600-kilometer (400-mile) mark.
